Straight in the Front, Curly in the Back

So I was watching "16& Preg." On MTV while eating dinner this week. And the teen mom of the week was a 16-ish year old girl, pretty, slim, tan blond, ms. apple pie American girl (except for the teen pregnancy thing). BUT... she had terrible hair.

Curly hair in the back ( and I am not talking like natural waves here, I am talking crunchy jelled curly mess of a thing) and poker straight bangs (aka a fringe in the front). Holy Bananas. And its not just this girl who has fallen to this tragedy, oh no, this hair style has taken down many a Midwestern young girl and some older ladies too. Really what possesses you in the morning to straighten your bangs and curl/scrunch the rest of your hair? Why this style, I know you can do better! I mean common people, you look as though you are indecisive as hell. Like what you cant make the simple decision between curly and straight hair for the day? or maybe you have a split personality issue and its a whole 'nother problem. Or maybe its entirely something different like you enjoy the classic sophisticated look (and sometimes edgy) of straight hair, but you want people to know that you also have a whole lot of wild side. Whatever the issue is, it don't matter, the travesty needs to end.
But alas, we can all take solace in the fact that the mullet has faded from the most popular haircut of the 80-s/90-s to a red-listed species, and maybe one day too the straight bangs curly in the back will also be forced to a sub-functional species level.
